Luck O’ The Irish

It is a pretty well-known fact that Once Upon Time has plenty of characters and actors from the U.S. and abroad.

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, here is a short and simple list of our favorite Irish OUAT actors.

  1. Colin O’Donoghue

The most notable Irishmen that has appeared on Once Upon A Time, Colin O’Donoghue, according to Wikipedia, is from Drogheda, Ireland and studied acting in Dublin. Now, he is the leather clan, handless wonder, Captain Hook who has made the transition from villain to hero, thanks to Emma.

2. Sarah Bolger

While Princess Aurora may not seem it, her portrayer, Sarah Bolger is actually Irish. Sarah was born in Dublin¬†and won an award at the Irish Film and Television Awards for her role of the Tudors, which, coincidentally she co-starred with Colin O’Donoghue.

3. Victoria Smurfit

New to the Once Upon A Time family, Victoria Smurfit plays the hilarious and sassy Cruella De Vil. Victoria was also born in Dublin, Ireland and her family is said to be one of the richest in Ireland and is a patron for the charity World Vision Ireland.

4. Jamie Dornan

Last, but not least, there is the dearly departed Sheriff Graham, played by Jamie Dornan. Jamie was born in Holywood, Northern Ireland and attended school in Belfast, where he began he particpated in drama. In addition to his recent role in 50 Shades of Grey, Jamie starred in a BBC series, The Fall, which takes place in Northern Ireland.
